February Forecast for Aquarius

The moon is in curious Gemini on February 3 and February 4, so you’re even more interested in experimentation and innovation. Your detached outlook makes it easy for you to examine things on a scientific level, but you might not be as focused on the details as you should be. Distractions are inevitable. Just make sure you go back at some point and finish what you started.

The Leo full moon on the eighth puts you in a boastful frame of mind, but what makes you think you can do it better than anyone else? Try not to overstep your boundaries when giving advice, Aquarius. Not everyone thinks you’re the genius you think you are right now!

By the time the moon spends time in your sign on February 20 and February 21, unconventionality is appealing. You’re okay playing by the rules at times as long as you get to let your freak flag fly eventually. And what better time than now?! Showing someone your true self is scary but freeing at the same time.

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to launch a new project, do it during the favorable trine between powerful Mars and your home planet Uranus on the twenty-first. You’re ready to take some risks now, and other people are likely to go along with your plans and schemes when you explain them in your own unique way.

Business

As February begins, the sun and Mercury are in Aquarius and you’re coming into your own. Next month, Saturn will enter your sign for the first time in 30 years. You’re on the threshold of manifesting something that has been a dream. It’s important that you now clear a space for new growth.

On February 3, Mercury joins Venus in Pisces, highlighting your finances, investments, commitments, self-esteem, and values. Mercury is currently in shadow, and it stations retrograde midmonth, suggesting that your finances are in flux. But this is a chance to clarify your values and dive deeper for your self-esteem so you can invest in situations aligned with your principles.

If you need to negotiate or sign important financial or business documents, make sure you read the fine print carefully, and leave room for revisions once Mercury turns retrograde. But if you aren’t sure about something, wait until you have clarity rather than feel pressured into making a decision or commitment.

Venus enters Aries on the seventh, favoring financial negotiations. The next day, the Leo full moon brings your partnerships to light, marking the end of a cycle and clearing the path for more balanced connections.

Mercury stations retrograde on February 16, bringing important financial information to the surface. This is a chance to clear up a messy situation, reevaluate commitments, renegotiate contracts and arrangements, and discover the deeper potential in a situation and in you. You have the resources you need to manifest something. Plug the leaks, and you can effectively redistribute and maximize your resources.

Also on that day, Mars enters Capricorn. Move slowly. There are powerful changes unfolding behind the scenes. Now is the time to work on and revise a strategy as you learn new information. Soon the time will come to act and unveil your grand plan. Consciously confront fears that have held you back from fulfilling your potential. You’re worth a lot more than you give yourself credit for, and you have the resources, skills, and talents you need to manifest your vision.

On the eighteenth, the sun enters Pisces, followed by the Pisces new moon on Sunday, wiping the slate clean in a financial station and offering a fresh start and a chance to deepen lucrative connections. Trust your intuition and a creative idea. You’re on to something big and reaching a powerful turning point. Something isn’t as impossible as you might have thought, and you’re discovering hidden resources. With a little planning and careful revision of information, you can reach a breakthrough.

Romance

As the moon drifts through kindred air sign Gemini on February 3 and February 4, you grow curious about someone new. Are you looking for love or is this just a distraction? Water Bearers already in relationships feel an attraction to someone other than your partner, but it’s probably just a passing casual interest.

Unstoppable Mars enters ambitious Capricorn on the sixteenth, so you have your mind set on very specific goals. Although it won’t happen often, being rejected can be especially painful now because you’re trying so hard. What would happen if you just let things happen organically?

The moon finally stops by your quirky sign on February 20, so you’ll feel free to be yourself. If single, you’re attracted to other air signs who aren’t looking for a traditional relationship. If you already have a partner, you’ll no doubt want a little more freedom than normal. Spending time apart during the day makes things more exciting at night.

Your sex life gets a boost during the energetic trine between enthusiastic Mars and your home planet Uranus on the twenty-first, and you’ll want to go to new places, meet new people, and try new things, which is great if you’re single! Committed Aquarians might yearn for something more than you have, but the thought of something is usually better than the reality of having it.

January Forecast for Aquarius

Ease into the new decade, Aquarius. January’s energy comes with a concentration of planets in Capricorn and your twelfth house of rest, healing and escape. While others are busy making plans and resolutions, you’re in a much more receptive space. While your experimental sign can go with the flow, you also have a Type A side. This month—and this year—you may have important lessons about letting things happen.

Aquarius is the sign of the future, and you always have at least ONE eye on what’s next. Take a breather from all of that, especially if it’s making you nervous or neurotic. Not sure what plans and resolutions you want to make this year? Let it “come to you” instead of forcing an agenda. This is a time of transition, when you need to talk less and listen more.

That also means tuning in to the universe and your own intuitive guidance system. Not so fast with the eye rolls, Aquarius! With FIVE planets in your spiritual twelfth house as January begins, the Law of Attraction is governing 2020 for you. Not only is the Sun making its annual visit here until January 20, but you’ve got communicator Mercury, risk-taker Jupiter (through December 19), responsible Saturn and transformational Pluto all gathered in this zone as the decade begins. Prepare for a year unlike any you’ve had in a while—if ever!

Your best bet is to tune in, meditate or just be STILL now. Your intuition’s been knocking loudly for the past month, and now’s your chance to finally download that divine data. And you’ll have a huge chance on January 12, when Saturn and Pluto make a historic alignment in Capricorn for the first time since 1518. While these two meet up every 33 to 38 years, they haven’t united in THIS sign in over five centuries.

As materializer Saturn brings Pluto’s creative, spiritual or unconscious ideas into tangible form, you could have a huge breakthrough emotionally or intuitively. Is it time to let go of something that’s been weighing you down? The Saturn-Pluto meetup could come and sweep it away, sounding the call for forgiveness and closure. The inner work you do now will have a reverberating effect for months to come. With the bold Sun and expressive Mercury both pinging Saturn and Pluto, you’ll find the courage to express what you’re feeling too.

As within, so without—that could be your mid-month mantra thanks to a January 10 lunar eclipse in Cancer and your sixth house of wellbeing and organization. The decade’s very first full moon happens to be a potent eclipse, which will sweep away the old and usher in space for the new. This spotlight moment could reveal a health matter that’s been plaguing you (and the proper treatment plan, at last!), or it could be THE day when you finally commit to kicking a self-sabotaging habit. Eating well, exercising, working with a coach: These affirming moves could help you feel anchored at a time when you need it most.

Of course, this isn’t exactly breaking news. This is almost the final eclipse in a series that’s been rippling across the Cancer/Capricorn axis since July 2018, turning your attention the health and healing. You’ve been learning important lessons about impeccability and mastery in your work as well as other ones about letting go and receiving support. When was it time to lean in…and which moments were best to lean back? In addition to spotlighting your work and wellness, these eclipses have helped you fine-tune that balance.

It’s been a lot to take in, and you might feel a bit off-kilter. Good news: On January 20, the Sun shifts into Aquarius and your first house of self for a month, bringing you back to YOU! If you’ve been making too many sacrifices or feeling overwhelmed for the past four weeks, you’ll be thrilled to feel your energy return.

Watch out for family or household drama interrupting your me-first groove on January 23, when the Sun locks into its semiannual square with disruptive Uranus in Taurus. A volatile or argumentative loved one could demand your attention, interrupting you right as you’re getting into a groove. Set firm boundaries and don’t take the bait. It will be all too easy to get hooked into the drama and button-pushing games. Don’t waste a second of your precious time on this emotional blackmail if you can help it! Beware getting suckered into playing the hero or fixing a needy person’s problems today. Try pointing them to resources before you roll up your sleeves.

Besides, your REAL New Year arrives on January 24 with the decade’s first new moon—which happens to be in Aquarius! You typically get only one new moon per year in your zodiac sign, and it’s the ideal time to power forward on a personal goal. Efforts started now will culminate at the corresponding Aquarius full moon, which will arrive on August 3, 2020. Plot a course for where you’d like to be by then.

You’ll have help thinking strategically because this is also Lunar New Year’s Eve, a night to bid adieu to the chillaxed Earth Pig and welcome the sharp-minded Metal Rat. Pro astro tip: The Chinese New Year always falls at the Aquarius new moon, which is why Aquarians are often split between two of the animal signs. (Those born prior to the new moon will be part of the previous year’s sign.) For the next 12 months, you’ll have an easier time putting your ideas into action—and doing so with your signature aplomb!

Love & Romance

You’re in your frisky and free-spirited element until (at least) January 13, Water Bearer! Sensual Venus has been in Aquarius and your house of self and identity since December 20. Hopefully you’ve saved a few sprigs of mistletoe to park under because you’ll still be in demand for the first half of the month. Actually, who needs mistletoe when you’ve got Venus in your sign? Start the new year with the makeover you’ve been craving or maybe a refreshed attitude about love.

Over in your friend zone, spicy Mars is dancing through Sagittarius from January 3 until February 16, igniting sparks with a pal or creating a strong attraction to someone you meet online or through mutual contacts. You may feel conflicted about whether to give into temptation (and allow yourself to get obsessed) or decide from the get-go to keep it casual. Good luck with that! Couples can look forward to a lively month of double dates, outdoor activities and maybe some volunteering together or getting involved in a cause that’s important to both of you.

On January 13, Venus relocates to Pisces and your second houses of financial and emotional security. You may be ready to lock down a commitment or take a budding romance to the next level. If you’re happily off the market, take a forward glance at your savings and shared goals to make sure you’re on pace to achieve them. On January 26, Venus forms a rare (once-a-year) square with indie-spirited Mars, which can fire up your rebellious streak. Stop and contemplate anything rash before you do it. This is just a passing mood—not necessarily anything to act on.

Key Dates

January 26: Venus-Mars Square
Venus in your practical second house wants something concrete, but it’s at odds with lusty and libertine Mars in your independence sector. Don’t make any fast moves in or out of a situation! Dueling desires for novelty and security are completely normal. The key: Can you get a dose of what you’re craving without overturning a relationship?

Money & Career

Flow into January, Aquarius—it’s okay to pace yourself! With five planets in Capricorn and your twelfth house of rest and healing, you could be a little exhausted. This coming year, in fact, is one to devote more to self-care and a slower speed. Your creativity and imagination will run high, and you could have breakthroughs of major magnitude this month. Lean into your quirky “genius” side and color outside the lines.

Is it time to let something go? The twelfth house rules endings, and when structured Saturn and transformational Pluto make a historic meetup here on January 12, you may have to rip the Band-Aid off. Resistance is futile, so let the chips fall where they may. If you’ve been micromanaging too much, this Saturn-Pluto conjunction will force you to confront any control issues. What’s really driving this anxiety, Aquarius? Get to the heart of it.

Major changes could be afoot on January 10, when a Cancer lunar eclipse sweeps through your sixth house of systems, employees and helpful people. The coming two weeks are ripe for hiring and firing or switching up your processes. Unpredictable Uranus also wakes up from a five-month retrograde backspin today through your domestic fourth house. As the side-spinning planet corrects course, it could bring a sudden relocation or new cast of characters under your roof. A surprise job opportunity or family fluctuations could shift your lifestyle.

When the Sun moves into Aquarius on January 20, your “2020 vision” returns. You can really set your resolutions on January 24, when the Aquarius new moon—the first new moon of the decade—illuminates your first house of fresh starts.

Key Dates

January 2: Mercury-Jupiter Meetup
Read between the lines! With the two most expressive planets teamed up in your twelfth house of hidden agendas, clue into body language and subtle messages. Sometimes it’s what they don’t say that speaks volumes. Play a little mysterious today with your intel, rather than being an open book.

September Forecast for Aquarius

Resist the back-to-school rush, Aquarius. This month finds you feeling more private and internal as the Sun grooves through Virgo and your intimate eighth house until September 23. Your energy is best focused on one particular person or project since Virgo season sharpens your powers of concentration. Of course, your naturally social personality doesn’t exactly operate like this. Adopt a “quality over quantity” metric and choose your RSVPs accordingly. You don’t have to be at every industry cocktail party or welcome-to-fall gathering—especially when the real “pumpkin spice” is likely to happen behind closed doors!

The eighth house rules all manner of merging, from soul-searing sex to joint financial ventures—unions that create a force field of power through your shared energies. Whether you reach “supercouple” status (think: Will and Jada, Barack and Michelle) or team up for world domination (like the “Steves” of Apple, Woz and Jobs), those are #goals for Virgo time. And they’re supercharged now because heat-seeking Mars, the planet of drive and ambition, is also in Virgo from August 18 to October 3.

Mars only visits each sign every two years, and this biannual boon could find you eager—even racing frantically—into a permanent engagement. Before you plunk your life savings into a piece of property or a cryptocurrency coin…or rush to City Hall with “the One” after dating for six months…know that the Sun and Mars together can tempt you to jump the gun.

Having inflammatory Mars in this intense zone of your chart isn’t necessarily easy. It can stoke envy, possessiveness and power struggles just as readily as it can bring you a lucrative financial deal or a soulmate encounter. You’ll need to manage the energy with care!

There’s even more reason to pace yourself, Aquarius. All month long—and exactly on September 21—optimistic Jupiter and hazy Neptune will make their last of 2019’s three dueling squares. Both are in ever-changing “mutable” signs: Jupiter is in its native soil of starry-eyed Sagittarius, and Neptune’s daydreaming in its home court of Pisces.

Jupiter and Neptune have been traveling in close contact nearly the entire year; they made two previous alignments in January and June. Under their influence, you’ll feel pulled between the practical and the fanciful, torn between your daily duties and a desire to dream big.

Expansive Jupiter is making its once-every-12-years trip through Sagittarius and your eleventh house of groups, the future and idealistic visions from November 8, 2018, until December 2, 2019. A collaboration may have taken flight under this transit, bringing opportunities to travel, grow or spread an inspiring message. Since the eleventh house rules technology, Jupiter’s auspicious touch may have enhanced your digital presence or led to an exciting launch. A chance to put your unique and innovative stamp on something huge—with a dream team to boot—is in the offing for the rest of this year!

The catch? A conflicting beam from nebulous Neptune in your money house may have left you short on funds or dealing with unclear budgets, timelines and practical details. This could make it hard to pull off your lofty vision, at least on the scale you imagine. A confidence crash could bring a wave of self-doubt at this month’s Jupiter-Neptune square. Your hyperactive social life could also contribute to your cash crunch. Have you spotted your friends or picked up the tab one time too many?

This month, Mars will wedge itself into the Jupiter-Neptune conflict, forming a T-square, which is a three-way battle for the throne. You’ll feel this tension from about September 8 to 18, and most strongly from September 12 to 14. The stress of a big expense or purchase could further exacerbate financial friction. A partner may also lean on you heavily now, which could zap your time or energetic resources. Your freedom-seeking side can feel completely claustrophobic and tempted to bolt. Unfortunately, your responsibilities are too deeply embedded to extract yourself from impulsively. While you may decide it’s time for an exit strategy, that might not be possible until later this year or next.

The key? Don’t lose your sense of humor or your creativity. While it’s important not to be impulsive, that doesn’t mean you should lock the muse in the closet and throw away the key. Nor should you stop yourself from enjoying fall festivities. Although you won’t have time for all of them (or even most of them), choose—or host!—a “party of the season” and really let your hair down.

This T-square tension will reach full tilt right as the September 14 full moon appears in Pisces and your grounded second house. This could bring a midmonth moment of clarity, a chance to prioritize and make an action plan. If you’ve been waiting for word on finances or work, you could finally hear concrete news. This full moon can also bring a confidence boost when you need it most. Don’t wait for other people to call the shots or make a decision for you. Be firm and self-authorized today, Aquarius and lean in to leadership. If nobody steps up to the plate then…tag, you’re it!

That said, dreamy Neptune IS hovering close to the moon, so you’ll still have your rose-colored glasses on. Make sure you haven’t swept any key details under the rug, especially when it comes to finances. The gift of Neptune’s presence? You can infuse any tough decisions or announcements with compassion. If you have to tighten your belt for a bit, you’ll find a way to keep pleasure in the equation! Your artistic innovations could also hit paydirt today. If you’re dropping an album, hosting a gallery show or bringing people together for that aforementioned “party of the century” gathering, this full moon could be a great day to do it.

Either way, you’ll be glad you got yourself grounded and streamlined because on September 18, structured Saturn wakes up from a four-month retrograde nap in Capricorn and your twelfth house of closure and healing. Saturn’s been making a long tour of Capricorn from December 2017 until March 2020 (with a final lap coming July through December 2020). You’ve done a lot of important inner work during this time, Aquarius—and you’ve probably gone deeper into emotional, spiritual and vulnerable places than ever before. Whew!

While there may have been some painful moments, you can also take stock of the resilience you’ve gained! Is there someone you still have yet to forgive, a resentment that’s poisoning you by carrying it around. Saturn helps you do the brave work. For artists and healers, this is a powerful time to establish yourself as an expert or to work with a mentor to gain mastery through a disciplined practice.

A taste of the freedom you’re craving arrives starting September 23, when the Sun soars into Libra and your ninth house of travel, expansion and adventure for a month. Now you can pull yourself out of tunnel-vision mode and see the big picture again. At the September 28 Libra new moon, start putting plans into action. Where would you like to be six months from now, at the corresponding Libra full moon? And what horizon-broadening experiences do you want to have between today and then? Get some bucket-list goals on the agenda, from launching your indie business to visiting a dream destination. Don’t limit yourself—explore all possibilities during this blue-sky month without holding back!

Love & Romance

With Mars blazing through earthily sensual Virgo and your erotic eighth house all month (until October 3), your seductive and sizzling superpowers are cranked up full blast. The red-hot planet hasn’t visited this chart sector for two years, and some Aquarians are making up for lost time! And with the other love planet, Venus, along for the ride until September 14, it really is a wonder you’re getting anything (else) done at all.

That’s not to say it’s been all fun and (naughty) games. Mars ratchets up passion but also increases competition, jealousy, tension and paranoia. Monitor your emotions as they arise and catch yourself before you go on the attack. Chances are you’re blowing up a molehill. If there are legit complaints, however, take the high road and initiate a calm, loving dialogue, perhaps with a mediator.

You might be feeling ready to make things permanent—or possibly you’re having the exact opposite sense, like it’s time to go your separate ways. This, too, deserves compassion and respectful conversations (e.g., do NOT send a breakup text!). Unattached? Lust might override your need for trust, and while there’s nothing wrong with following your desires, know what you’re getting yourself into because getting OUT of it might be trickier.

Venus advances to Libra and your adventurous ninth house on September 14 through October 8. The call of the open road may be irresistible over the coming weeks, and if you’ve got the time and funds, why NOT answer it? Romantic escapades await the wanderlust-y Water Bearer. You might even be open to a long-distance relationship or click with someone from a wildly different background than yours.

Key Dates

September 1: Venus-Saturn Trine
This rare (twice-a-year) mashup of loving Venus and structured Saturn activates your most emotional and intuitive sectors. Find some time during the day to tune in, and you can get more lucid about your needs and desires, including what “commitment” looks like to you—and whether you’re ready for it in the first place.

Money & Career

Dive into the deep end of the pool, Aquarius With the Sun and motivator Mars in Virgo and your eighth house of research, merging and shared finances until September 23, this month is all about powerful alliances and transformational projects. The key will be to FOCUS! That could get tricky, though, since Mars is making a distracting angle to Jupiter and Neptune all month (hitting a peak on September 21). Competition from your thriving social schedule and daily duties could interrupt your focus. Plot some money moves at the September 14 Pisces full moon, which will illuminate your second house of work and financial gain. Update your resume with your most recent achievements. Put your name in the ring for a promotion or plum project.

On September 18, structured Saturn ends a four-month retrograde in Capricorn and your restful twelfth house. If you’ve found it difficult to complete projects since late April, or your energy levels have felt low, you’ll be able to make a plan for tying up those loose ends (finally!). Reach out for support or mentorship instead of trying to figure it all out alone. Optimism returns starting September 23, when the Sun starts a monthlong visit to Libra and your ninth house of growth, entrepreneurship and travel. Let a vacation be your motivation. Start saving for a trip to a beautiful (and budget-friendly) bucket list trip. If you’re a freelancer, make it a “work-cation”—have laptop, will travel— and head somewhere you can quietly develop your passion projects in a serene setting. Shake loose from your everyday surroundings and allow yourself to be inspired. The Libra new moon on September 28 could spark a visionary idea or a novel concept for a savvy startup!

Key Dates

September 6: Mercury-Jupiter Square
Don’t believe everything you hear today. It’s not that anyone is intentionally trying to pull the wool over your eyes, but with expansive Jupiter adding a little elasticity to the truth, people may be slightly exaggerating their abilities or soft-pedaling the costs. Be agreeable, but before you say yes, tell them you need to see some hard evidence.

August Forecast for Aquarius

Behold the power of two! This month the Sun will make the rounds through Leo (until August 23) then Virgo, heating up the two most relationship-driven parts of your chart. Your free-spirited sign can get squirrely about too much commitment. But August is the time of year when partnerships feel their most vibrant—or at least they come up for review. Assess your inner circle and the people you spend the most time with. Does everything feel fair and mutual? Is there a balanced give-and-take?

This month, every stripe of relationship could demand an assessment—and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. On August 11, expansive Jupiter will end a four-month retrograde in Sagittarius and your friendship and teamwork house. That same day, your co-ruler Uranus will start a retrograde through Taurus and your family zone. Prepare to negotiate some flexible new agreements with terms that work for everyone. Set aside people-pleasing, Aquarius—if you don’t ask for what you want now, you could end up feeling resentful down the line.

Let’s start with Jupiter, the auspicious planet of optimism and growth. The red-spotted rover making a long visit to Sagittarius, from November 8, 2018, until December 2, 2019, igniting your eleventh house of teamwork and technology. It’s been an adventurous cycle that’s brought new collaborations, affiliations and out-of-the-box thinkers into your orbit. A digital or group venture may have taken flight, perhaps one with a world-changing agenda.

Since April 10, Jupiter has been in slow motion, which could have put a budding alliance on the back burner or stalled progress with an online project. Between now and December 2, this relationship could pick up speed. With visionary Jupiter in the idealistic eleventh house, politics might even call your name. There’s an election year coming in the U.S. (no reminder needed), and the rest of the world could certainly use some help. Consider backing a candidate you believe in or even running for a civic post yourself. If you’re a business owner, look at the role of technology and social media in your efforts. With outspoken Jupiter handing you the megaphone, an edgy or progressive message could go viral. But careful not to veer too far into controversy for controversy’s sake. Jupiter in this free-to-be-me zone makes you extra-sensitive to censorship, but it could also tempt you to push the envelope TOO far.

Just as Jupiter sprints forward on August 11, your co-ruling planet, liberated Uranus, begins its annual five-month retrograde. The side-spinning planet will reverse through Taurus and your fourth house of home, family and emotional foundations. Disruptor Uranus is in Taurus for a long seven-year visit that began on March 6, 2019, and will end in April 2026. You also had a sneak preview of this from May through November 2018. If you’ve felt the rumblings of change in the most personal part of your life—if not a total uprooting—things could settle a little bit.

But don’t get too comfortable, Aquarius, because the calm is temporary! From house-hunting to a changing cast of characters under your roof to possible baby news, Uranus is here to stir the pot. If you’ve been waiting for news about adoption or IVF, the retrograde could deliver that. A trailblazing woman who’s not afraid to be totally authentic could enter your orbit while Uranus is in Taurus. If you’ve been dealing with a disruptive family member or a rebellious child, you may find the help you need.

Midmonth there’s a high point when the August 15 Aquarius full moon brings your most personal 2019 goals to fruition. Look back to the birthday resolutions you set (if any), or to events that kicked off near the February 4 Aquarius new moon. This full moon is a decisive moment: Will you move forward with this or switch lanes and do something else? If you’ve been waiting for the green light on a passion project—or you’re just ready to take a leap of faith—the full moon in your sign says GO!

After your full moon moment, you may disappear into a rabbit hole for a while. On August 23, the Sun plunges into Virgo and your privacy-seeking, intimate eighth house. For the next month, you could deep-dive into a mission that requires lots of research. A relationship or detailed undertaking may become all-consuming. Watch for tunnel vision, Aquarius—but screen out distractions if you need to power through a task that requires concentration. The eighth house rules property, assets and joint ventures. If you’ve been looking at a real estate venture or considering a long-term financial investment, Virgo season could present some exciting new options.

With your erotic eighth house lit up, there could be some sizzling diversions—especially since lusty Mars is here from August 18 to October 3. When the Virgo new moon arrives on August 30, what seemed like a summer fling could turn serious. Someone might even have soul mate potential where you least expected it! You may be offered a financial opportunity near the new moon that could yield hefty returns or be invited into a joint venture. Take your time—this new moon will unfold in the coming six months, so there’s no need to rush. But DO set intentions for where you’d like to be financially, emotionally or in a key relationship by early 2020. What you visualize now could become a reality by the time the corresponding Virgo full moon arrives next March!

Love & Romance

With three “personal” planets (Venus, Mars and the Sun) cozied up together in your seventh house of committed partnerships for much of the month, you may be happy zipped into your couple bubble. It’s a time for bonding, major next steps or to double down on your dating efforts if you’re single. But while Venus here enhances the desire for intimacy and harmony, Mars can churn up strong (and difficult) emotions, like anger, resentment and jealousy. New relationships can heat up quickly, so be mindful to not let your heart get ahead of your head.

All three planets will move on Virgo and your eighth house of intensity, eroticism and soul bonding later in the month. Mars is the first to pull up stakes (on August 18, for six weeks). Your libido could go from a simmer to a full boil in no time flat, which can be a boon for happy couples and frustrating as hell if you’re unattached. Don’t let this planetary pileup pressure you into a union that you know isn’t ultimately right for you. Set your intentions and don’t settle for less! Venus follows Mars’ lead on August 21, and then el Sol two days after that. Very strong emotions can rise up now, so anticipate them as best you can so you don’t overreact. In addition to the swirling sexual energy, you might find yourself far more interested in metaphysical and spiritual pursuits. And how nice would it be to have a partner who shared your passion?!

An extra-hot day is August 24, when Venus and Mars mash up exactly in Virgo and that same intensifying zone. You can look forward to smoldering sex, an engagement or pregnancy or a perfect moment for making things official or deepening your bond.

Key Dates

August 2: Venus-Uranus Square
Twitchy Uranus lights a fire under the love planet during today’s restless clash. You might find yourself fixating about “the future” and trying to nail down a commitment while your S.O. (or brand-new love interest) is content to just enjoy your company. Note: You could be undermining yourself with this behavior. Single? Try a wildly new approach—think about what you normally would do to get someone’s attention—and do the opposite.

Money & Career

Partner up for the win! In August, the planets are clustering into the most collaborative zones of your chart, a perfect time to lean on your closest people for support. The Sun is in Leo until August 23, heating up your seventh house of contracts and commitments, joined by motivator Mars through August 18. Offers could turn formal and you may decide to partner up with someone for mutual gain. Be careful not to rush into anything headlong though, as impatient Mars could pile on the pressure before you have all the facts. You may find yourself being a bit more argumentative, but on the plus side, you won’t be afraid to negotiate and advocate for yourself!

The group-centric vibes get even stronger starting August 11, when Jupiter wakes up from a four-month retrograde in Sagittarius and your eleventh house of teamwork and technology. Ready to make a digital splash or launch your world-changing platform? Between now and December 2, supersizer Jupiter is in your court. But note that the same day, your ruling planet Uranus will slip backward into retrograde until January 10, sputtering in Taurus and your domestic fourth house. Plans to relocate or make changes at home could stall for the rest of the year. Take the time to really think through how much any personal life shifts could disrupt the status quo—maybe it’s better to take a phased approach?

Slip off the grid to do some detailed work or research starting August 18, when Mars moves into Virgo and your intense eighth house of joint ventures and long-term finances. You might be talking through the finer points of a deal or you could have a large expense to pay off. Make an aggressive plan to tackle debt, loans or credit card spending if that’s an issue. The upside: a large lump sum could also come your way now, especially once the Sun enters Virgo on August 23, or at the August 30 Virgo new moon. Look into commission-based opportunities or ways that you can build your nest egg with passive income and investments.

August 7: Sun-Jupiter Trine
Team up FTW! This rare and magnetizing mashup could attract a perfect partner and act like fertilizer on one of your seedling ideas. While a part of you prefers to work independently, another part enjoys the intellectual stimulation and camaraderie of collaborations.
